Introduction

Once upon a time, not that long ago, only the very wealthy could have art in their homes. They enjoyed and valued this and in order to allow more people to see art they established public galleries, in many cases attached to museums and educational establishments.

Later, as people started to become a little better off and technology developed the availability of art filtered down through the class structure. Few however could still afford originals of quality, so a huge industry developing copies grew. These copies however were far from ideal and faded in a relatively short time.

The art the well off had, rose in value considerably, while the copies were disposable art that in most cases ended up as scrap.

Some copies have been produced in true limited editions, and these prints often go up in value considerably as they sell out, in the last year several prints have sold for well over a million pounds, but this is not the norm. This form of investment art could not historically be enjoyed as it has to be kept out of the light to stop it fading.

Coming Your Way
An Opportunity worth considering

More recently technological advances have been made that if fully applied would mean that quality art could be available that would be able to be both viewed and enjoyed and still should increase in value over time.

Today, we are in the gateway, with many opportunities ahead of us. There are opportunities for art collectors, for those who want to own and enjoy art, for artists of all types and for those who want to become involved in the new industry helping people to create their own collections.

GB Pictures was set up as a non profit organisation, specifically to empower greater involvement in collecting and enjoying art. Rather then building an empire with a vast staff to achieve these objectives, we have chosen a route that involves many more people, and businesses as partners, and to commission other tasks.

These partners can be broken down into sponsoring partners and the team, this website looks at the team, and the opportunities that exist for team members.

We talk of works of art as editions, this could be a single original or one of a number that form a limited edition run. To start with we have two brands, but we have four more in development, with probably more still to be added.

We have not on this website tried to show predictions of what any team member will or could earn, this comes later and it is you, not us, that will decide the figures to include and define your own income potential.

Or role is to make it possible for you to achieve this. We say we empower, rather than we make anything happen, this means that we show team members how to do things, we share information, ideas, experience and make sure that the technical and other services provided by other partners are able to meet your needs.
